38th International Conference on Alpine Meteorology>

Scientific program

List of scientific sessions

Contributions are encouraged on all aspects of mountain weather and changing climate, from fundamental research to operational challenges in mountainous regions, including but not limited to:

  • Surface processes in mountain environments including the cryosphere
  • Boundary layer processes over complex terrain
  • Orographic clouds and precipitation, including extreme events
  • Mountain climate: variability and changes
  • Meteorological applications: renewable energy, air quality, water resources, risks, ecosystems, urban environment, infrastructures and society
  • Numerical weather prediction over complex terrain (incl. model developments, data assimilation, predictability studies and verification)
  • TEAMx - Multi-scale transport and exchange processes in the atmosphere over mountains - programme and experiment, including both observations and modelling

We also welcome submissions that extend beyond these areas, with particular emphasis on research exploring AI as a cross-cutting theme, as well as interdisciplinary approaches to mountain meteorology and climate.
